It is hard to believe we are already heading into the fall and working on
budgets for the upcoming year. Over the last year, we have continued to renovate
the pool houses and bring them into ADA compliance along with other safety and
maintenance projects throughout the recreation facilities.
One of the biggest improvements we will be completing this year is the
renovation of the clubhouse façade. This project will improve the look and safety
of the main entrance, portico, and bus stop area. The project will include building
changes, new landscaping, updated lighting, and a renovated driveway. All these
upgrades will not only increase the beauty of the area, but they will also help to
add safety features to the area.
One of the biggest additions will be the awnings that will provide shade and
protection from the rain as residents and guests come to the clubhouse. We will
also replace the very large palm trees that have become over-grown and
dangerous when they drop the very large palm fronds in the area. Not only have
the trees caused damage to the walkway fence, lighting, and landscaping in the
area, if the frond were to hit a person, it would cause a lot of harm.
While this project is not expected to take an extended amount of time to
complete, it will require that we close the main entrance of the clubhouse and
redirect bus traffic to the back of the clubhouse. In addition, we will need to
create alternative entrances into the building. During the project, there will be an
alternate entrance into the clubhouse, and this will require the cooperation of all
residents, guests, and vendors. Cen-West will reposition security to the
designated entrances and create temporary pathways that will provide a safe way
to enter and exit the clubhouse.
Due to the temporary changes, we strongly encourage residents to use the
buses to come to the clubhouse for events. This will not only reduce the amount
of traffic at the clubhouse, but it will also enable our staff to offer increased
assistance at the temporary entrances.
While construction is ongoing, we ask that all residents continue to show
patience and cooperation. The project will inconvenience us all for a short time,
but will provide important safety, maintenance, and beautification benefits for
years to come.
To keep you informed, notices will be posted at the clubhouse, on channel
63, and on the website. We are also working on a text/email notification system
that will help to keep you updated for this project and for other important notices
moving forward. For residents to receive a text or an email notification, you will
need to make sure your information is up to date with the ID office, and make
sure to download the Gate Access App. Please check in with the ID office if you
have any questions about the app. The staff can help you set it up.
We want to thank you in advance for helping to make your community a
safe, and beautiful place to call home.
